No. The guarantee only ends when you as landlord confirm the release or return the certificate. The tenant alone cannot end it.

Report the change to us by email or via the contact form. We transfer the certificate to the new landlord; nothing changes for the tenant.

Report the claim to us by email or via the contact form and attach the handover report, invoices or evidence of rent arrears. If the tenant agrees or there is a final decision, we pay within ten working days.
