1. Controller

Swisscautionen24 AG, Bahnhofplatz 9, PO Box 2424, 3011 Bern, is responsible for processing your personal data under the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

2. What data we process

For an application we collect identity and contact data, details of the lease, co-tenants and landlords, uploaded documents and payment information. For the credit check we obtain information from credit agencies with your consent.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process data to review and perform the deposit contract, to meet legal obligations, to prevent fraud and – with consent – to inform you about our services.

4. Disclosure

Data is shared with landlords (certificate), payment providers, credit agencies, IT providers and, where required, authorities. Processing outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA only takes place with an adequate level of protection.

5. Retention

We keep contract data for the duration of the contract and afterwards according to statutory retention periods (usually ten years). Unfinished applications are deleted after 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. Write to hallo@swiss24.example.
